WARM Center’s Emergency Shelter at 56 Spruce Street provides year-round housing for adults experiencing homelessness. The shelter offers separate dormitory-style accommodations for men and women, giving guests a safe, structured environment while they work on next steps toward stability.

Welcome House  

WARM Center’s Welcome House in Wakefield is a year-round emergency shelter designed to provide stability and support for adults experiencing homelessness. The program is shared-bedroom style, with designated men’s and women’s sides of the house, offering more privacy than traditional dorms while maintaining a supportive, community environment.

  • Shared Bedrooms – Guests share bedrooms and common living areas, creating a home-like atmosphere. 

  • Separate Men’s & Women’s Sides – Ensuring comfort and safety for all residents. 

  • On-Site Services – Nutritious meals, showers, and laundry available on-site. 

  • Case Management Support – Guests work with case managers to set personal goals, connect with community resources, and plan for permanent housing.

Interim Housing  

 WARM Center’s Interim Housing for Individuals Program is an off-site shelter program for adults who are working and moving closer to permanent housing. Designed as a shared living arrangement, each participant has their own bedroom while sharing common spaces such as the kitchen, bathroom, and living areas with others.

  • Separate Units for Men and Women – Ensuring safety and comfort for all residents.   

  • Shared Living, Private Bedrooms – A balance of independence and community support in a stable environment. 

  • Case Management Support – Residents work closely with case managers to strengthen employment, budget wisely, and prepare for the transition into permanent housing. 

  • Step Toward Independence – Participants gain experience managing daily living responsibilities while still having access to support.

Interim Housing for Seniors 

WARM Center’s Interim Housing for Seniors Program provides a safe, supportive alternative to congregate shelter living for older adults experiencing homelessness. This off-site program utilizes a shared apartment, where each senior has their own private bedroom while sharing the kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces with others.

  • Stable Environment – A calmer, more comfortable setting designed to meet the needs of older adults.

WARM-Up  

WARM Center’s WARM-Up Program is a specialized emergency shelter program designed for medically vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness. Located at our Spruce Street campus, the program provides a shared living arrangement where each guest has their own bedroom while sharing common spaces such as the kitchen and living areas.

  • Shared Living, Private Bedrooms – A supportive, home-like setting that balances privacy and community. 

  • Medically-Sensitive Environment – Designed for individuals with health challenges who need a more stable and supportive space than traditional dorm-style shelters. 

  • On-Site Access – Guests are housed close to WARM’s supportive services, case management, and meal programs at Spruce Street. 

  • Path to Stability – Staff work closely with participants to manage health needs, connect to benefits, and plan for permanent housing.
