Emergency Shelter

The WARM Shelter is a 19-bed facility designed to help homeless men and women who suffer from a variety of circumstances. While staying at the Shelter residents must remain alcohol and drug free, follow house rules, meet with their peers and staff.

The community meal site at WARM serves nearly 100 meals every day, nearly 40,000 last year. Lunch is served 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm daily, and dinner is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm daily, at 54 Spruce Street, near Riverhead Building Supply and Immaculate Conception Church.

Harvest Homes is a program designed to provide homeless families with shelter while promoting self-sufficiency and giving them hope for a safer, healthier future. We operate thirteen remote residential apartments designed for Harvest Homes.

WARM Supportive Homes

WARM Supportive Homes provides permanent housing to six disabled individuals and two families with disabled adult members. We provide a safe, supportive environment, and thorough case management.

Community Outreach

WARM offers case management to families and individuals in southern Rhode Island who are in crisis. They receive guidance in accessing services, or funds for their particular situation, such as assistance with rent, utilities, prescriptions, or transportation costs.

Attire For Hire

Attire For Hire

The Attire for Hire is a clothing program with a mission to provide low-income individuals and community members with work-appropriate clothing (including shoes, coats and accessories) for going on job interviews, beginning employment, etc.

Our Children’s Summer Lunch Program prepares and delivers bagged lunches to children in Washington County who benefit from the program. Over 7,000 nutritious lunches were served in Summer 2023 to local children!

Winter Shelter for Individuals (seasonal) – This program provides temporary seasonal shelter and intensive case management to unsheltered individuals during the winter months. Winter Shelter for Families (seasonal) – This program provides temporary seasonal shelter and intensive case management to unsheltered families during the winter months.

If you are a single adult in need of shelter, call our shelter case manager, Destin Holloway at 401.596.9276 ext. 116. If you and your children are homeless, call our Family Housing Case Manager, Amanda Imbriglio at 401.596.9276 ext 101.

Permanent Supportive Housing

Uses a shared housing model, serving ten individuals in four residential units. Typically, they enter the program from emergency shelter and are identified as chronically homeless. Participants receive case management and WARM’s supportive services.

Interim Housing for Individuals

Allows residents to move out of emergency shelter onto the “next step”. This is a 90-120-day program that offers intensive, individualized case management to help individuals get ready for permanent housing.

Interim Housing for Families

Affords families (that would otherwise become homeless) a safe and secure apartment for approximately 90 days while they regain financial stability.

Interim Housing for Seniors

Allows aging individuals (that require assistance with care or with physical limitations) to move directly from the emergency shelter, into an ADA-compliant, shared apartment where they receive intensive case management that helps connect them with resources to secure appropriate housing.

Housing Navigation Services

Our Housing Navigator works with housing authorities, landlords, and local realtors to find safe, affordable, permanent housing for those in need.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Started in 2007, this is an IRS-sponsored program that provides free tax preparation services to low to moderate income individuals and families. This program runs from February 1 – April 15.
