Emergency Shelter
If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness and is seeking shelter – please call the Coordinated Entry System of RI at 401.277.4316.
WARM Welcome House’s Emergency Shelter Program at 8 North Road accommodates 18 formerly homeless men and women. We are open 365 days/year with support services for all individuals taking comfort under our roof. Our small setting offers a personal approach to recovery. Every guest works with a case manager who assists with accessing services, setting goals, budgeting, and locating affordable housing.
Our programmatic approach is designed to strengthen each guest’s life skills, financial literacy, and self-sufficiency. Each and every person is treated with respect, and individualized case plans are used to target and work on a guest’s personal goals to lead them out of homelessness.
In addition to emergency shelter programs, WARM Welcome House owns and operates a Transitional Housing Program that offers a step towards self-sufficiency coupled with some of the same supports we offer to our Emergency Shelter Program clients.
Transitional Housing
Welcome House operates a one year transitional housing program designated for individuals who complete the emergency shelter program. The main goal of the transitional housing program is to provide supportive services to help clients to obtain permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
Community Soup Kitchen
Our soup kitchen provides shelter guests breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
NOTE: Soup Kitchen is currently closed to the community, but will be re-opening in the near future!
