Please spread the word.
The Warm Center’s Homeless Street Outreach Case Management Program is available to assist those in need of basic comfort and safety items, as well as case management services to individuals currently sleeping outside and homeless in Westerly, Charlestown, Hopkington, Richmond, South Kingstown, Narragansett or neighboring communities.
There are more “out there” than most would think.
Each day, Monday through Friday, our street outreach van makes the rounds of Washington County in search of those most vulnerable, most exposed, most in need of assistance. Often folks are hidden from plain site, camped out in the woods or other acute situations. They are forced to deal with the elements and uncertainty on a daily basis. The reasons for their situation are as varied as their stories. Our mobile outreach worker is unique, available to bring services to them, on their own terms. Sometimes it is as simple as a blanket, a tarp, or a hot cup of soup. The larger scope and vision of this program is to build trusting relationships and open doors to medical care, social services, and eventually housing. It is our sincere belief that no one is alone or beyond hope.
We need the community’s help to assist with this program.
If you see someone, say something.
